Super Smash Bros. for Wii U Ruleset

For the Super Smash Bros. for Wii U events, Syndicate 2017 will use the newly released recommended ruleset for European events. You can read it here.

Additional rules for crews

  • Crew battles are 5 vs 5 and based on country.
  • The 5 players in each crew must be selected before the tournament, no alternates.
  • The crew captain does not have to be one of the 5 players.
  • Before each crew battle, all 5 players will be character locked. The character choices will have to be written out by the captain.
  • Before each crew battle, both crews must select their first player. If an agreement on the starting matchup cannot be made, a double blind pick may be called for.
  • All participating players have 3 stocks per crew battle.
  • No time limit.
  • The first stage in a crew battle is always Smashville.
  • After the first match, the losing crew selects a new player, the winning team bans a stage, the losing team counterpicks a stage.
  • Counterpick stages are Battlefield, Town and City, and Palutena Omega, in addition to Smashville.
  • The player who won the previous match starts the game by SDing to the number of stocks he finished with the previous game.
  • The crew battle continues until one crew runs out of players.
  • There will be no coaching allowed during a game, only between games. Crews are always allowed 3 minutes between games for this purpose.
